2019 Rathgar Garden Awards

Rathgar is very lucky to have wonderful front gardens as a feature of the architectural design heritage of the area. Originally established as a very competitive competition between keen gardners in the ealy 1970’s in recent years the committee of the Rathgar Residents Association changed the format to that of Annual Awards in 10 categories recognising the efforts that residents make in maintaining their front gardens. Tribe - 10 Hour Cycle to Stop Suicide

July 08, 2019

This Saturday 13th of July, members of a growing community fundraising community Tribe, are hosting a 10 Hour Cycle outside the Grafton Barber in Rathgar Village on two stationary bikes from 8am-6pm. All money raised will be going to the worthy charity Pieta House. Be sure to drop by, say hi and dig deep for this great cause. Best of luck to all involved!

Dublin 6 Home from Home appeal

June 01, 2019

Home from Home D6 is an initiative of the Rathgar & Terenure Fellowship. They are seeking support to help a refugee family integrate into Irish life in the area. The reaction to date has been great and many pledges have been made - Arabic speakers, free GP visits, help with CVs/job applications, plumbers, help with paperwork, filling the fridge, friendship, etc. The organising group are currently seeking suitable accommodation and would welcome offers of support. RRA BusConnects Submission

May 01, 2019

The Rathgar Residents Association has made the following submission to the National Transport Authority (NTA) regarding their BusConnects proposal. We are opposed to what we perceive as the permanent destruction of local heritage and our community in exchange for a strategy uncapable of meeting Dublins transport demand. Revisions to the BusConnects proposal by the NTA are expected later in September this year.
