Dr. Dermot Lane to give talk on caring for the Earth

A talk will be given by Dr. Dermot Lane on the subject 'Some Aspects of Personal, Social and Community Responsilibilty in Relation to Care of the Earth'. This will be based on Pope Francis' Encyclical Laudato Si. This event will be held on Tuesday March 26th 2019 in St. Patrick's Hall to the rear of The Three Patrons Church at 7.30pm.

Dr. Lane was ordained to the priesthood from the Catholic archdiocese of Dublin in 1967 and thd subsequently earned a doctorate in theology in Rome. Dr. Lane is widely regarded as one of the foremost theologians in Ireland with a distinguished international profile. He is a former president of the The Mater Dei Institute and served as a member of the DCU Governing Authority from 1999 to 2013. He is the author of a number of publications including 'Catholic Education in the light of Vatican II and Laudato Si'.
